Crash Fix (Relating to newer generation CPUs)

Hey y'all! Been awhile since I've last posted on here, but it's been brought to my attention that some users seem to run into a few crashing issues relating to their newer CPUs having problems with the game. Since Around the Clock was made in Unreal Engine 4.19, newer CPUs tend to have an issue with the game and crash frequently within the first few minutes of playing the game. For what reason this happens, I do not know.

So here's the quickest and easiest fix for this. Simply disconnect from your wifi before launching the game and it should have no problems for that specific playthrough. You'll have to do this each time you play.

There is a permanent solution out there that requires you to go into your system settings and input some variable change, but I'm not 100% sure on it's effectiveness and can't seem to find the original post that I had seen about this fix from way back. Regardless, I hope this all helps you continue to play the game! Sorry I can't seem to implement a *proper* fix for the game itself so people wouldn't have to go through all this. The only one that comes to mind is porting the game to UE4 4.2.7, but that's nigh on impossible considering how much that'd break the game and the amount of stuff I'd have to go through to test and fix for it to be fully functional. Doesn't feel worth going through that effort, but hopefully someday I can find an easier fix and one I can implement across the board for all of my games made in UE4.19.

Thank you for reading, and I'll see y'all later!

Whens the next update or sequel?

There are no more updates planned for Around the Clock at Bikini Bottom, sorry! We're very satisfied with the game's conclusion to the story and don't intend on making a sequel.
