i just pooped my pants even before i played the game
Wails For Freedom
A downloadable game for Windows
Story: "I'm trapped inside of a haunted asylum full of ghosts trying to friggin kill me! And to make things worse, my damn leg is gone. I have no choice but to use this wheelchair I found to move about and this camcorder to see in the dark. Shit, will I ever find a way out of this horrible place?" - Ryan
This is an Outlast inspired horror game about trying to escape an asylum full of ghosts trying to kill you, or worse, turn you into one of them. You must traverse the asylum on your wheelchair and find fuses to activate the front door to escape. But... This is not an easy task, your wheelchair has limited mobility and makes turns slow and difficult, will insanity and frustration consume you or will you be able to find a way out and escape this nightmare?
To be honest, the game might be easy or difficult depending on how your playthrough turns out and if you get used to the wheelchiar controls. Well, I hope you enjoy this short experimental horror game!
Note: If you encounter a bug where your wheelchair moves EXTREMELY slowly, let me know! One user out of a bunch encountered this issue and I have no idea how to fix it. Edit: A theory of mine seems to have proven that this only occurs for EU users strangely enough. So if you encounter this, try to play the 32 bit version of the game. That helped one user fix the problem while the second user just waited a day and for some reason it fixed itself somehow.

Just an idea, if you can, could you please try making a evil YouTubers game?
(Maybe include Ryan and yourself!)
Horror Game+8-BitRyan=PLAY 24/7
Me: *Reads Story*
Me:It says the character's name is Ryan
My Friend (Maddy): There are millions of Ryan's, it's probably not 8-BitRyan.

Haha, glad you enjoyed it!

I really wanted to play this game but the controls are badly broken. I cant move with W or S. I watched other YTubers videos and their playthrough seems fine. I re-downloadde the game because I thought maybe it was a bug but no luck. Not sure whats going on.
Ah yeah, that's literally the weirdest thing some people have reported. The only solution I've heard of is either downloading the 32 bit version and if that doesn't work, you need to wait a day and download the 64 bit version or something. It's like the weirdest thing I've ever seen. That's why I'm never making a game like this again, lol.
I wish my computer was better, it did not handle this game well.
That combined with my inability to control the chair resulted in what some may describe as a fucking mess but others call enlightening.
Hey Dave Microwave, How do I trigger the Spooky Kook easter egg in Scooby horror 3?
There's no trigger, just walk to the edge of the map where you see the water tower and from a distance you'll see the Spooky Space Kook standing there near the tower. Nothing happens, it's just a fun little easter egg I added.
Yet another GREAT game from Dave! This one is difficult yet fun! Really love the styles of these games! Keep them coming!!!
Absolutely brilliant, Dave! I've been thinking for years now that nobody's ever thought to do a wheelchair-bound player game, and BAM! Here it finally is!
Another awesome game. The only thing is how difficult it seemed to be. The amount of falling over and getting stuck in walls were comical at first but got a little annoying after awhile as well. Otherwise an amazing game.
Boy howdy this game is tough as nails! The controls definetly made this a challenge but I loved it! Once again Dave, great job!
It just had to be ghosts!
Another great game from Danmicrowave :) Satirical, horrifying, and comical all in one. Highly recommend it!!!
Greetings from Germany! I really loved playing your also even if it was buggy sometimes. Like I flipped over with my wheelchair and softlocked the game. I also got stuck in some kind of fence. But otherwise I really enjoyed playing the game. The atmosphere was great and the controls with the wheelchair were a really nice idea. I love such twists in games. Can't wait to see more games from you. :)
Really difficult game!Nice.
please make a the amazing world of gumball horror game called the nightmare of gumball and the enemy will be nightmare from fnaf 4 please and thank you
it's gonna be lit I guess
I don't do parody games anymore. I'm only making original horror games. Though I do plan on making at least a few more parody games like Scooby Horror: Arcade in the future.
Whaaaaaaaaaaaat?! No more parody games? from Dave Microwave? That's like a PB and J sandwich without the J!
The thing, is that I've gotten tired of those games, like I used to make them cause I felt like it and they gave me a laugh or two. But now that people are demanding for more, it's become stressful and isn't enjoyable making anymore. I'm sorry if that upsets some, but from now on I'd rather be working on original stuff and make more Scooby Doo horror games in the future, cause those Scooby Horror games are the only parody games that I really, really enjoy making.
One game after another Mr. Microwave Games killed it! Had an absolute blast plaything through this on my channel! This one was really difficult to beat, especially when it came to dealing with the monsters! Hope you check out the video!
Yeah, lol, it's a pretty hard game. I'd consider this to be my first challenge game. The game is very difficult to beat but it is beatable, as I've beaten the game on hard on my first try and I have seen some people beat hard mode. So don't give up! It's possible!
Yet again Dave made another awesome game and while I'm a stupid buffoon who can't figure out the most simple gameplay puzzles I kinda saw what was going on and what he wanted me to do and I liked it. The killer is kinda OP and has X-ray and aimbot hacks but that's cool he still about to catch these hands!
Gotta be honest I didn't like this game as much as your others, I guess I didn't really get a long with the wheelchair.
Ah, that's understandable. I had a feeling this one wasn't gonna be liked by some due to the difficult controls and overall difficulty of the game. Though I'm glad you gave it a shot anyway. :)
Great game, I thought it was very well made!
I cant run any of your games and I really want to play them!! I keep getting this error:
Please forgive the laggyness, I made the best out if it <3 Didn't want to throw it away, also you made Strange Terror!
Great game i hated the wheelchair xD It was a pretty hard game to beat but i felt so good after beating it. I loved the soundtrack and the outlast and pixel game feel i thought it was too hard at first but after a while it got easier to remember the layout of the map. The only things i disliked about it was the falling over glitches but apart from that i loved it great game.
Fun and very well made, love the look of it. Neat idea with the wheelchair, it is a bit frustrating to move but obviously that's intentional and it works. :)
I really enjoyed playing.
I liked the concept of Outlast in wheelchairs.
But the operating feel of the wheelchair is so bad. I hope that it will be improved.
it's a great game.
"my fucking leg is gone"
100/10 it would be hard.
lol was funny just kept getting stuck in walls and falling hahahaha!
The bad ending and the secret were worth the 1.5 hours that it took me to find them. Without any of your hints I wouldn't know they even existed. :P
I really liked the info behind the project! It is cool to know what were the concepts you considered before the final one.
(Btw Barney's model is terrifying.)
Really good game. The wheelchair mechanic is very cool. It had a couple of bugs, but it was still very fun.
This is definitely one of my favorites so far out of the games that you’ve made. The physics rage genre + slasher survival horror is just genius. Tank controls were a VERY nice touch and I’m pretty glad that you added an easy mode so everyone can experience the full game. That being said, this game almost made me pull my hair out! The Bad Ending was pretty easy to find (along with the Easter Egg) but the good ending took me AGES to achieve. I’m not sure if it’s just because I had the game open for a while or not, but the enemies seemed to patrol around one area through my entire session. Also, as I’m sure you already know, it’s pretty easy to fall into the wall and get stuck there for a while. This was definitely a nightmare to get through, but it was super worth it in the end and it gave me a huge sense of accomplishment. Thanks so much for making this!
It looks really cool and fun to play but the truth is the wheel chair and the handeling absolutely ruined this game. I went into two rooms (after a lot of frustration trying to control the wheelchair) and upon entering the second room I was immediately stuck.
Yeah, the wheelchair controls are difficult to handle at first, but eventually you will get the hang of it. Truth be told, the wheelchair is like half the difficulty of this game. Wasn't intentional but it just turned out that way, dunno if I can fix it at this point to be honest.
aww yea new game by Dave cant wait to play when i have the time
The game was very scary and fun to play! My only issue was sometimes when i turned in the wheelchair i would get stuck in the walls.
Once again amazing job!
As I said before every new game feels more polished than then previous. In this one the environment was sooo unsettling. The lighting setup, the music, the sound effects and the choice of putting the player on a wheelchair make for a really creepy atmosphere. The difficulty also makes it even creepier, since once you're caught, you have to start all over again. The hard mode isn't too difficult (pretty much the same difficulty as your previous games). It takes time to get used to the wheelchair though. It took me 1.5 hours to beat it and for the first hour I was getting used to the wheelchair movement. I really liked that you actually made the wheelchair movement like that, it adds to the atmosphere.
I can't wait to play your next game!
P.S. The 64bit version has broken controls. Pressing W makes the wheelchair spin. The 32bit version works flawlessly though.
Ah yeah, one player encountered that issue in both 64 bit and 32 bit versions. I'm not sure why that happened. I have a theory that it may have to do with some computers or keyboards or something being from the EU causes that weird movement glitch. Cause the one guy that found that bug was from the EU and the other testers were from the US. The US ones never encountered that bug while the EU tester encountered it. Not sure if you're in the EU or US so I don't know if this theory of mine is true.
Yeah I'm from EU, so your theory might be true. However on my laptop both versions ran without the movement glitch. Probably what happened is that it changed language on the keyboard settings and then Unreal Engine didn't recognize the input key. Hopefully that helps!
Now this game is pretty cool. It looked pretty cool, had pretty good designing. Controls was alright, since its more harder now. Game play felt really scary since your not the only one in the asylum, and it's also really hard. I'd say a 4.5/5 I very recommend this game for people who likes horror games.
